Well, we needed at least 20 miles to have a relatively short day tomorrow to reach Highway 108, Sonora Pass. We did exactly 20 miles, leaving us just under 10 miles to reach the highway and cutting our climb up some. We are camping at mile 1007 where a creek runs through Kennedy Canyon. Tomorrow we will tackle a roughly 1100 foot climb to a trail pass and then descend down to the highway.
The other notable occurrence on the day was that we passed mile 1000! That’s a whole heap of walking.
Sorry for the short entry but because of the weather my phone battery has been low and haven’t gotten much from the solar charger. Hopefully more when we get to town tomorrow!
